Nebraska is only 4-7 in Big Ten play, but the Cornhuskers played much better in Lincoln, notching wins against Iowa and Purdue at home. The Badgers are very aware of the challenges that Pinnacle Bank Arena presents.

“They’re a team that’s capable of beating anyone,” Badgers assistant coach Howard Moore said. “With us coming in, a packed house… I’m sure they’ll be even more dangerous…Last time we were there we came out with an L, and that was a very good team that lost there.”

Moore was referencing the 77-68 loss in 2013, when the Badgers were led by Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker. The Cornhuskers outscored the Badgers by 11 points in the second half.

Vitto Brown added comments to attest to the intensity that the Cornhusker crowd brings. “It’s awesome,” Brown said. “It’s one of the nicest arenas that I’ve been in…and their fan base comes every time. That’s a place we’ve been beaten before so we’re not taking it for granted.”

Nebraska is led by Tai Webster, whose 18 points a night is good enough for third in the conference. Webster also leads the team in assists at 4.1 per game.

“He gets to the free throw line as much as anyone in our league,” Moore said of Webster. “He’s always on the attack. He doesn’t rely on three-point shooting but he has the ability to do that. Downhill, versatile player at the wing spot. There’s no surprise he’s putting up the numbers he is.”

Nebraska’s second leading scorer, Glynn Watson, didn’t start in Nebraska’s last game due to a groin injury. He totaled just three points in 18 minutes. Watson averages 13.9 PPG.

Nebraska junior forward Nick Fuller is a native of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Fuller plays five minutes per game.
