Sconnie Sports Talk was born from a simple idea: Wisconsin sports deserve coverage as passionate as the fans who follow them. Founded by lifelong locals, the site started as a way to fill the gap between big national sports outlets and the everyday moments that matter most to Wisconsin fans, from a last second Badgers win to a Brewers rally in the ninth inning. What began as a small project has grown into a trusted source for Football, Basketball, and every sport in between.
Our mission is straightforward. We want to inform, engage, and celebrate the Wisconsin sports community with honest reporting and real storytelling. That means covering the highs and lows of Baseball season, the intensity of Hockey rivalries, and the overlooked stories in our Misc section, all with the same level of care and attention.
What sets us apart is our connection to the state itself. Our writers aren’t parachuted in from outside, they grew up cheering in these stadiums and watching these teams with their families. That local knowledge shapes every article we publish, giving readers insight you won’t find from national coverage. You can learn more about the people behind our reporting on our Editorial Team page.
As Sconnie Sports Talk continues to grow, our commitment stays the same: authentic, informed coverage for Wisconsin sports fans everywhere. Whether you’ve followed us since the beginning or just found us today, we’re glad you’re here. Have thoughts, tips, or feedback? Reach out through our Contact page, we’d love to hear from you.
