A bit of a reunion story brewing here, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Field Yates both reported that Montee Ball tried out for the Green Bay Packers on Friday.

The former Badgers running back tried out in midst of the Packers struggling to find consistency from running backs James Starks and Eddie Lacy. Ball also recently tried out for the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots this season after being cut by the Denver Broncos in training camp.

Again, he only tried out, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves, but it’s still exciting. He may be looking to take Alonzo Harris’s practice squad spot, and the Packers still have both of their veteran-status practice squad exemptions available.
