ESPN officially announced and confirmed on Wednesday that its College Gameday program and set will be heading to Lambeau Field for Opening Weekend on September 3 for Wisconsin vs. LSU.
College Gameday will start at 8:00am CT and run until 11:00am CT in front of the Brown County Arena on Oneida Street. Plan to get there pretty early to get a spot amongst the diehard Badgers and Tigers fans.
“Lambeau Field is hailed as a football shrine and is as special of a venue as the game of football has to offer,” said Lee Fitting, ESPN senior coordinating producer in ESPN PR’s release. “It is an honor to be able to stage College GameDay from Lambeau as we kick off this opening weekend filled with top-caliber games.”
The six-time Emmy Award-winning show will be hosted by Rece Davis. Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack will join Davis as analysts, along with contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, George Whitfield, Gene Wojciechowski, and Jen Lada.
The game will be called by Steve Levy, Brian Griese, and Todd McShay, kicking off at 2:30pm CT.
