These days, things seem to break on Twitter more than anymore else, even when some players aren’t supposed to break the story themselves.
After deleting the original tweet, incoming freshman guard Brevin Pritzl tweeted out a picture of him in a hospital bed with the caption “minor setback, major road to recovery.” It turns out that Pritzl had sustained a broken foot, and had surgery today on the foot. He is back home resting and rehabbing.
Pritzl is a four-star recruit from De Pere, WI; another in-state bred guard. He is expected to be out approximately 2 months, as his injury is similar to the one Traevon Jackson had during last season.
He should be ready to go in time for most of the basketball season, and who knows how much he was expected to play at the beginning of this season anyway. Guard Jordan Hill will likely back up Bronson Koenig this season, although many think Pritzl will eventually be in the mix by season’s end. The injury may cause Pritzl to redshirt so he can play as many healthy seasons as possible, but it’s hard to tell at this point.
