Broxton Traded to Cardinals

The Brewers keep on keeping on with the trade deadline coming up in mere hours.

They have now traded relief pitcher Jonathan Broxton and cash to St. Louis for minor league outfielder Malik Collymore.

Broxton has struggled mightily this season, losing any kind of set up role in the bullpen. The Brewers should feel fortunate that they traded him away in time and got something out of it.

Collymore has batted .216 with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs in 23 games in the minors. The 20-year old was drafted in the 10th round in 2013 and is ranked #27 in the Cardinals system by Baseball America.

We will have more later on all of the Brewers’ moves.
