With the 17th pick in the incredibly deep 2017 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks selected Michigan F D.J. Wilson.

The junior impressed in postseason play, leading the experienced Wolverines team to a tournament championship in the Big Ten Tournament in D.C. He also had an impressive run in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 16 points and four rebounds per contest.

Wilson has great size for a forward at 6’10” (with shoes) measured at the combine, and a very nice wingspan at 7’3″.

For the 17th pick on an upstart contender, Wilson is a bit of a surprise as he’s not “great” at anything in the game yet, but has a nice touch and midrange game.

It will be very interesting to see how Wilson progresses this summer, especially with Bucks starting PF Jabari Parker out with injury.
