Super Bowl Week is well underway, and with that comes plenty of opportunities to win some cold hard cash. Bovada Sportsbook, a staple of online sports betting, is offering over 500 Super Bowl prop bets for their customers. Here are only some of the most ridiculous bets out there.
Will Mike Carey be wrong about a challenge? (Yes: +110, No: -150)
Mike Carey is the butt of a lot of jokes on social media, and rightfully so. CBS’s “NFL Rules Analyst” has done a pretty terrible job serving in this position, as he often makes incorrect predictions on air with regards to how challenges will play out. Carey was clearly wrong on a backwards pass challenge in the AFC Title game, and I’ll go out on a limb here and put my money on the dawg. I think it’ll happen again, even he’s reportedly 90% right on his calls.
How many times will “dab” or “dabbing” be said by the announcers during the broadcast? (Over 2: Even, Under 2: -140)
I’m pretty sure no one has ever described the announcing team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms as “hip” or “trendy.” I’ll definitely take the under here.
Will there be an earthquake during the game (Announcer must indicate there was one during the live broadcast)? (Yes: 10/1, No: N/A)
I know it’s happened in the area during a massive sporting event before, but please just do yourself a favor and avoid this prop.
Will “Left Shark” make an appearance on stage during the Super Bowl halftime show? (Yes: 15/1, No: N/A)
No. Just no.
Will Peyton Manning be seen crying at any point during the entire broadcast? (Yes: +600, No: -1200)
This is an interesting one. Peyton Manning certainly isn’t known as a crier, but general consensus says that this will be the last game of his career. If he comes out on top, I wouldn’t be all that surprised to see a tear or two shed during the postgame celebration. If it were 50/50, I’d definitely say no, but if you are looking throw a few bucks on a huge long shot and hope for the best, this should be the one.
