Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker has been selected to play in the Rising Stars Challenge as part of the NBA All-Star Break. The challenge pits first and second-year NBA players against each other in a U.S. vs. “The World” competition.

20 rookies and sophomores were named to the challenge, with 10 on each team. Parker joins Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood, Zach LaVine, Nerlens Noel, Elfrid Payton, and Marcus Smart as the sophomores on the U.S. team.

This is Parker’s first time playing the the Challenge, and the first Bucks player since Giannis Antetokounmpo played as a rookie in 2014. Other Bucks that have played in this game, which has also been referred to as the “Rookie Challenge”, included Brandon Jennings, Yi Jianlian, and Andrew Bogut.

In 41 games this season, Parker is 11.4 PPG and 4.6 RPG on 48.8% shooting from the floor in 28 MPG of work. He is 5th on the Bucks in scoring and 4th in rebounds.
