In the first of many College Football Playoff rankings to come, the Wisconsin Badgers are as high as they have ever been since the CFB Playoff started, coming in at No. 8.

The Big Ten was represented well with four teams in the top ten and five in the top 12. Penn State was a surprise as they opened up at the #12 spot in the first rankings. Texas A&M’s ranking at No. 4 is not a good sign for the Badgers at this point, but still play mutual opponent LSU.

Wisconsin takes on Northwestern on Saturday in Evanston at 11:00am CT.
