Cichy, Gaglianone earn honors

Cichy won the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week award. The Lott IMPACT player trophy is awarded to a defensive player who is both outstanding on and off the field.

Kicker Rafael Gaglianone won Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week award, Lou Groza Award Star of the Week, and the Rose Bowl Player of the Week award. The Brazil native went 3-3 on field goals in the game including two from greater than 40 yards, including the game winner.

Jacobs will play snaps at linebacker once again.

Due to Chris Orr’s season ending ACL injury, Paul Chyrst announced that fullback Leon Jacobs will be pulling double duty playing both inside linebacker and fullback. With Alec Ingold and Austin Ramesh getting most snaps at fullback, Jacobs will be able to provide depth at the linebacker position for the Badgers.
