It seems we cannot go more than a few days without Paul Chryst and company landing another recruit for the 2018 class.

Friday night was no different with A.J. Abbott publicly announcing his commitment to Madison.

Rivals has the receiver rated three stars, with 247Sports and Scout rating him two stars. Abbott landed the Wisconsin offer two weekends ago, with Iowa and Purdue also offering the Michigan product.

At 6’2″ and 180 lbs, Abbott offers an impressive frame for quarterbacks to throw at. Slowly but surly, the Badgers are creating a young pool of talent at receiver after adding Quintez Cephus and A.J. Taylor to last year’s group, and Danny Davis and Cade Green to this year’s. Abbott is the second wide receiver to commit for 2018, following fellow West Bloomfield’s Taj Mustapha, who committed earlier in the week.

The 2018 class now stands at 15 total players and it will be interesting to see if the Badgers can keep up this blistering pace as the summer goes on.
