Herro tweeted this photo with Wisconsin guard Bronson Koenig on February 21, 2016.

The 6-foot-3 Herro is ranked 25th (ESPN), 42nd (Scout), 55th (247 Sports), and 66th (Rivals) overall in the nation. He is widely considered the best player in the state of Wisconsin and one of the top talents in the past five years.

Herro was offered by the Badgers this past Christmas Eve (December 24, 2015). He also held offers from Arizona, Purdue, Florida, Xavier, Indiana, and Marquette, among others. He is the Badgers’ first commit for 2018.

Greg Gard and his staff have now successfully recruited two academy teammates  for 2016, a highly-ranked three-man 2017 class, and Herro.

Now, the Badgers will turn their attention to signing another in-state four-star recruit in SPASH’s Joey Hauser, with one scholarship for 2018-19 remaining and the team not expected to use their final scholarship in 2017-18.
