Through all the success that Wisconsin has had at offensive line, Tyler Biadasz was the first center to win the Rimington Trophy that is awarded to the nation’s most outstanding center. The three year starter at center announced this morning that he will be entering the draft joining underclassmen Jonathan Taylor and Quintez Cephus.
Much like Taylor the decision does not come as much of a surprise but the decorated junior now makes it official. 

The rise to success has been remarkable for Biadasz. After redshirting his freshman year, Biadasz would not miss a start for the next three years and anchored a Wisconsin offensive line that led a top ground game in each of those years. 

In 2019 he was named a unanimous All-American and Rimington Trophy winner while being one of the leaders on a Badgers squad that won the Big Ten West and secured a Rose Bowl berth. 

Biadasz made the announcement with a video via his Twitter:

“Playing for the Badgers was always a dream for me, but the last three years have been more than a dream. I’ve been blessed to be part of this program and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” Biadasz said. “We’re a family and it’s hard to say goodbye to my teammates and coaches, but I’ll always be a Badger.”

“Tyler has been a great leader for us. He truly epitomizes what it means to be a Badger,” Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst said in UW’s official release. “His toughness, work ethic and devotion to his teammates has led both to his individual success and our team success. He is an outstanding person and I wish him the best as he starts the next chapter of his career.”

Biadasz is currently the No.1 center on Todd McShay’s board and is projected to go in the late first round or second round. He is looking to become the tenth Wisconsin offensive lineman in the the NFL to continue UW’s case for ‘O-Line U’.
