It’s only been four days since their last meeting, but the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls are ready for another matchup Monday night at the United Center. Milwaukee disposed of Chicago on Thursday 124-115 and is coming off an impressive defensive performance against Indiana that resulted in a 102-83 win Saturday night. The Bulls dropped one to the Nets 117-111 on Saturday despite 36 points from Zach LaVine.
The Bulls gave the Bucks a bit of trouble last week thanks in part to Milwaukee going ice-cold from beyond the arc (18.2%) and some hot shooting of their own (41.9% from 3). Coby White and LaVine were able to score nearly at will from long range but the Bucks had stifling defense in the paint, which contributed to their victory. It’s probable that the Bucks won’t shoot that poorly again against Chicago, so the margin in this one *should* be a bit wider.
MIL: Bledsoe, DiVincenzo, Matthews, G. Antetokounmpo, B. Lopez
CHI: LaVine, Satoransky, Hutchison, Markkanen, Carter Jr.
Injuries: Chicago will be without Otto Porter Jr. and Luke Kornet while the Bucks have no injuries besides Khris Middleton.
The spread: MIL -8.5
Time and TV: 7:00 PM CT on FS Wisconsin
Prediction: As stated above, I would be surprised if the Bucks go that cold from 3 again. They should be able to have a more balanced scoring attack this time around and will come out with a relatively easy victory over the Bulls. Bucks 118, Bulls 102
