On Tuesday afternoon, the Wisconsin men’s basketball official Twitter account announced on Ethan Happ’s behalf that the junior has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft, but will not be hiring an agent.
This was the expected development in regards to Happ’s decision with one year of eligibility left. By declaring but not hiring an agent, Happ can return to the Badgers after testing the waters, just like Nigel Hayes did a few years ago.
After the Badgers’ final game of the season, Happ said he will most likely return to the Badgers unless he gets a first-round grade. Happ is not currently projected in most two-round mock drafts and is expected to return to Wisconsin for his senior year.
This is good news for Wisconsin Badgers fans and will also allow Happ to see where he stands in the eyes of NBA scouts.
