Wisconsin has added a third player to its 2018 recruiting class, point guard Tai Strickland out of St. Petersburg, Florida. Strickland is a three-star recruit, and is also the son of longtime NBA player Rod Strickland. Badgers assistant coach Howard Moore led the recruitment effort for Strickland.
Strickland announced his commitment via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon:
Strickland is listed at 6-2, 180, and is very athletic for a point guard, who is also not afraid to score. His last three school choices were Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Rutgers.
Hot Rod’s son joins Joey Hedstrom (scholarship player starting his second season) and Taylor Currie (scholarship player) in the 2018 class. The Badgers have closed out their 2018 class now.
