After a huge 38-14 win over then #20 Iowa, the Wisconsin Badgers moved to #5, inching closer to a spot in the coveted top four of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Last week, Wisconsin was ranked #8 but after a dominant win and a number of losses by teams ahead of them, a big jump up was in order. Notre Dame lost to Miami and moved down to #8, while Miami jumped into the top four.

Georgia also got destroyed by Auburn, who jumped up to #6, while the Bulldogs fell to #7 in the weekly rankings.

Rounding out the top four, the four teams now ahead of Wisconsin in the rankings, was Alabama, Clemson, Miami and Oklahoma in that order.

Michigan, Wisconsin’s next opponent also moved into the top 25 rankings for the first time this season as the #24 position. It will be only the second time so far this season that Wisconsin will enter a game facing a ranked opponent.

As for the rest of the Big Ten, Ohio State came in at #9, Penn State came in at #10, Michigan State came in at #17 and Northwestern came in at #23 .
