The Wisconsin Badgers have gone 8-0 so far this season and have cracked the top four in both the AP Poll and the Coaches poll. In the College Football Playoff rankings, however, it is a different story with Wisconsin coming in ranked at number nine.

A number of one loss teams were ranked higher including Notre Dame, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Penn State. Due to Wisconsin’s weak strength of schedule, it seems the committee has deemed the undefeated team only a number nine spot. The Miami Hurricanes seem to have found themselves in a similar spot sitting at number 10 in the initial rankings.

The top four, who would play in the playoff if the season ended today, are Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame and Clemson in that order. Despite having a brutal lose to lowly Syracuse, Clemson cracked the top four over the likes of Oklahoma and Ohio State who have one loss a piece to teams in the top 10.

Overall, the Big Ten is well represented with Ohio State at number six, Penn State at number seven and Wisconsin at number nine. With three teams in the top 10, they are the most represented conference.

Wisconsin will look to improve its standing and continue on their undefeated season against Indiana on Saturday.
