Wisconsin men’s basketball received heartbreaking news Tuesday when they learned that four-star shooting guard recruit Tyler Herro has decommitted. Herro announced his plans to reopen his college search on Twitter.

Per Badger247, Herro chose Wisconsin in September of 2016 over offers from Marquette, Arizona, Xavier, Creighton and Florida.
Herro is currently ranked as the 27th ranked prep recruit in the nation by ESPN. The high-ranking prospect was a huge land for Wisconsin basketball, but it appears his presence is no longer guaranteed.
With Herro out, Wisconsin has landed only Joe Hedstrom, their sole recruit from the class of 2018.
