Last week was a rough week for making picks in the NFL! Who would have thought that the Baltimore Ravens would get annihilated by the Jacksonville Jaguars? And the Chicago Bears stunning the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime? Even the lowly New York Jets snuck out a win! But this week will be better (or so we can hope)!

My current record: 7-9

Chicago Bears (1-2) @ Green Bay Packers (2-1)

The Bears are coming into town with a major win over the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers are banged up and coming off of an overtime win against a lowly Cincinnati Bengals team. This game draws a bit more interest than it once did with both teams coming off of surprising outcomes last week. But still, the Packers in Lambeau are way too tough to beat, especially for a Chicago team run by Mike Glennon.

Prediction: Packers 31-17

New Orleans Saints (1-2) @ Miami Dolphins (1-1)

Miami looked awful last week against the New York Jets while the Saints looked phenomenal as they beat the Panthers. Miami is still quarterbacked by Jay Cutler and the Saints defense is still horrific. Future HOFer, Drew Brees, will face a solid defense. I think that the home team will come away with a win.

Prediction: Dolphins, 34-28

Tennessee Titans (2-1) @ Houston Texans (1-2)

A divine rivalry where anyone could win. The Titans are off to an impressive start and are coming off of a win against the Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Texans are still recovering from a heartbreaking last second defeat to the New England Patriots.  The Texans are no joke and DeShaun Watson has been impressive thus far. I expect it to be close, but ending with a Houston victory in NRG Stadium.

Prediction: Texans, 24-17

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1) @ New York Jets (1-2)

I can’t figure out what to make of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Week 1, they destroyed the Houston Texans, but then in week 2 the Titans pummeled them, and then they bring home a win London after annihilating the Ravens. But I know one thing: the Jets are still VERY VERY bad.

Prediction: Jaguars, 28-13

Carolina Panthers (2-1) @ New England Patriots (2-1)

The Patriots defense is still quite bad, but they have a guy on the other side of the ball who can make up for all of that. Tom Brady is playing unbelievably at the age of 40, and he has a new deep threat in Brandin Cooks, plus Rob Gronkowski is back to doing Gronk things. Cam Newton still seems to be struggling from the Super Bowl loss two seasons ago. The Panthers defense hasn’t been the same since fireball Josh Norman left for the Washington Redskins. Pats win this one at home.

Prediction: Patriots 38-24

Detroit Lions (2-1) @ Minnesota Vikings (2-1)

Before I make my pick, I just want to point out how impressive Minnesota’s quarterbacks have been thus far. Although, their defense is good with the help of Xavier Rhodes, I still think that the Lions are the better team. Their defense came so close to shutting down the Falcons out-of-this-world offense, and Matt Stafford is still my pick for MVP. The Lions will get the win in Minnesota.

Prediction: Lions 27-21

Buffalo Bills (2-1) @ Atlanta Falcons (3-0)

The Falcons are rolling right now and one of the last two undefeated teams left in the league. The Bills somehow beat the Broncos back in buffalo, but their luck will run out this week when they run into Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Buffalo’s defense will give the Falcons a test, but there is no slowing down Atlanta right now.

Prediction: Falcons, 34-21

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

This is always a game worth tuning in for, especially with both teams coming off of shocking losses, they both have something to play for. The hatred between these two teams runs deep, and I expect nothing less than a hard fought game. But the Steelers are ultimately the better team in this match up. But it will be a VERY close game.

Prediction: Steelers, 28-27

Cincinnati Bengals (0-3) @ Cleveland Browns (0-3)

One of these teams has to get a win this week, breaking their tie for the worst record in the NFL. The Bengals were impressive against Green Bay last week, and the Browns almost came back to win against the Colts. These division rivals will face off in the Battle for Ohio. I keep predicting that the Browns will win but I really think that this is their week!

Prediction: Browns, 24-17

Los Angeles Rams (2-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (2-1)

The Cowboys are coming off of a statement game in the desert. The Rams have had a long week to prepare for ‘America’s Team’ after putting a lot of points on the board against the 49ers last Thursday. Both defenses are average at best and stopping the Cowboys offense at home is a task the Rams just aren’t up to. The Cowboys will win this one in JerryLand.

Prediction: Cowboys, 35-24

Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) @ Los Angeles Chargers (0-3)

How ironic of a game! The Eagles just claimed victory over the New York Giants because their kicked nailed a 61 yard field goal. While the Chargers have lost two games because their placekicker, Younghoe Koo, wasn’t able to make the game winning field goal. Carson Wentz has been impressive thus far and I think the Eagles will ultimately take this one, I just hope Younghoe Koo isn’t to blame.

Prediction: Eagles, 35-21

New York Giants (0-3) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1)

Originally when looking at the schedule, I thought that this would be a statement game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But after how the season has started for the Giants, I think this is a statement game for them. The Giants can’t afford to go 0-4, and the Bucs can’t afford to let them escape with a win. I think that Tampa Bay will rebound from last week in Minnesota and win this one at home.

Prediction: Buccaneers, 31-21

San Francisco 49ers (0-3) @ Arizona Cardinals (1-2)

The Cardinals will get a break this week when facing their division rivals, the 49ers. The Cardinals kept the game close against the Cowboys until late in the 4th quarter. And the 49ers almost mounted a comeback on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams. But Carson Palmer is playing out of his mind right now, and there is nothing the 49ers can do about it.

Prediction: Cardinals, 41-24

Oakland Raiders (2-1) @ Denver Broncos (2-1)

America’s game of the week features an entertaining match up between two AFC West teams. Both teams are coming off of losses with Denver losing in Buffalo and Oakland being embarrassed on Sunday Night Football by the Redskins. Again, I think this will be another close game. Despite the game being in Denver, I think that Oakland is the more well rounded team and they will claim victory.

Prediction: Raiders, 31-28

Indianapolis Colts (1-2) @ Seattle Seahawks (1-2)

Both teams are coming off of losses, and will make for an uneventful Sunday Night Football game. Seattle’s offensive line is horrendous. The Colts will be without starting quarterback, Andrew Luck, until at least week 6. But still, the Seahawks have “the 12th man” who make home games for the Seahawks, every opponents worst nightmare. Seattle will come away with the win on their home turf.

Prediction: Seahawks, 24-13

Washington Redskins (2-1) @ Kansas City Chiefs (3-0)

The Chiefs have started this season out red hot, and despite coming off of a huge win against the Oakland Raiders, the Redskins won’t be able to stop them. Alex Smith is playing fantastic right now and they have rookie sensation, Kareem Hunt, leading the NFL in yards thus far. The Redskins are good, but not good enough to take care of business in Arrowhead.

Prediction: Chiefs, 42-28

We are in for an exciting weekend of football with division rivalries, close games, and elite match ups!
