First reported by Steve Wiltfong out of 247 Sports, the commitment from Nelson likely will be one of the last for the Badgers 2017 class, rounding off an impressive recruiting class. Nelson’s commitment also helps the Badgers secure depth at a position that will be a question mark heading into the year.

Coming in at 6’2″ and 190 pounds, Nelson has the measurables to make a solid impact right away physically, but he also will be bringing in athleticism.

A vertical of 35.4″ and a 40 time of 4.69 at the Nike Opening Regional in 2016 proved to give Nelson an overall rating of 89.34 at the event.

Committing to the Badgers, he chose Wisconsin over Iowa.
