Several Badgers were drafted or signed as undrafted free agents by NFL teams over the past week. Here’s the list as of Friday, May 4, 2018.

CB Nick Nelson – Round 4, Pick No. 110 – Oakland Raiders

The Raiders went into the draft with a sever need at defensive back and Nelson was the first and only one they drafted.

TE Troy Fumagalli – Round 5, Pick No. 156 – Denver Broncos

The Broncos made a goal of getting some potential weapons for new quarterback Case Keenum in SMU WR Courtland Sutton, Penn State WR Deasean Hamilton, and Wisconsin TE Troy Fumagalli.

S Natrell Jamerson – Round 5, Pick No. 164 – New Orleans Saints

Natrell Jamerson will join a talented secondary in New Orleans that includes 2017 Defensive Rookie of the Year Marshon Lattimore.

LB Jack Cichy – Round 6, Pick No. 202 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers used the last of their eight picks on Jack Cichy in the sixth round. The former walk-on will be coming off a major knee injury in the 2018 season.

LB Leon Jacobs – Round 7, Pick No. 230 – Jacksonville Jaguars

Leon Jacobs joins an elite pass rush down in Sacksonville. The Jags had needed linebackers going into the draft as well.

DE Alec James – Undrafted Free Agent – Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals drafted only one defensive player in the draft, using their other five picks on offensive players, including trading up for quarterback Josh Rosen.

LB Garret Dooley – Undrafted Free Agent – Minnesota Vikings

Garret Dooley found his home in a defense with a strong linebacking corps. He’ll be able to learn a lot from Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks.

FB Austin Ramesh – Undrafted Free Agent – Arizona Cardinals

Austin Ramesh will join DE Alec James in the desert. He will have the opportunity to block for one of the league’s most talented running backs, David Johnson.

DE Conor Sheehy – Undrafted Free Agent – Green Bay Packers

Sheehy joins the Wisconsin-proud Green Bay Packers. The lack of picks used on the pass rush likely influenced the decision to sign Sheehy.

S – Joe Ferguson – Tryout – Green Bay Packers
