Wisconsin men’s basketball: Trevor Anderson transfers to UW

UW-Green Bay guard Trevor Anderson is transferring to Wisconsin after one year playing for the Phoenix. Anderson averaged 9.8 PPG, 2.9 RPG, and 2.7 APG as a freshman. He was Wisconsin’s Mr. Basketball in 2016 at Stevens Point.

Anderson went to Stevens Point High School and was a key member on one of the best high school teams in the history of Wisconsin high school basketball. Anderson played with Marquette’s Sam Hauser and his little brother Joey Hauser. Sam plays at Marquette; Joey is a heavily recruited junior, the Badgers coaching staff is probably hoping Anderson might be able to do a little recruiting for them.

Anderson will sit out the 2017-18 season, which is mandatory for all undergraduate transfers. He has not been guaranteed a scholarship, but would presumably earn one in his upperclassmen years.
