In arguably one of the worst halves of the season for the No. 16 Wisconsin Badgers, one positive came from Bronson Koenig.

The Wisconsin native made four three-pointers in the first half, and with his fourth, became the school’s all time leader in three-pointers made with 236 for his storied Badger career.

The senior from La Crosse got the record right before halftime, as he broke former UW great Ben Brust’s record of 235. Brust had a little fun with Koenig as soon as he made the shot:

In Koenig’s 139th game, he broke Brust’s record, which only lasted two and a half seasons. It took Brust 124 games, considering he only played 15 games his freshman year) to get 235 three-pointers.
