Tyler Herro, a 6’4” shooting guard out of Greenfield, Wisconsin and the Badgers’ only commit so far for the 2018 recruiting season, was upgraded to a five-star recruit today by ESPN.
Herro, who now owns a 90 rating, would be one of the best prospects ever recruited by Wisconsin. He’s now ranked 23rd overall for the 2018 class, including 4th overall at shooting guard and 1st overall of recruits from Wisconsin.
Herro is averaging 24 points per game this season 50% FG shooting and 43% three-point shooting.
Before committing to Wisconsin, Herro received offers from Arizona, Auburn, Boston College, Creighton, DePaul, Florida, Green Bay, Indiana, Iowa State, Marquette, Milwaukee, Nebraska, Purdue and Xavier. He’s currently the third-highest rated 2018 recruit to commit to a school, behind only #10 Carte’Are Gordon (Saint Louis) and #15 E.J. Montgomery (Auburn).
