Following the negotiation of an injury settlement, former Badger wide receiver Jared Abbrederis will now become a former Packer as well and will move to the waiver wire, per multiple reports.

A thigh contusion forced Abbrederis onto Injured Reserve, a designation he’s become familiar with over a three-year NFL career. In five games with the Packers in 2016, Abbrederis was targeted just twice, hauling in one pass for eight yards in a 27-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in week one.

In a four-year Wisconsin Badgers career, Abbrederis played in 53 games, and caught 202 passes for 3,140 yards and 25 touchdowns. Following this career, he was drafted in the 5th round in the 2014 NFL Draft (176th overall) to the Green Bay Packers. Abbrederis is a West Allis native, and now could see himself playing football for a non-Wisconsin team for the first time in quite a while.
