MADISON — Senior defensive captain Vince Biegel has been injured with a foot injury since Week 5. In that time, the star linebacker has missed top match ups against Michigan and Ohio State.
Wisconsin’s already stout defense may be able to add Beigel back into the mix.
On Monday’s injury report, Biegel showed up as questionable for Saturday’s match up.
“He’s been taking good steps forward, and we hope that continues,” head coach Paul Chryst said on Biegel’s injury.
Biegel, who had surgery to put screws in his injured foot, will be looking to be returning after just three weeks of being sidelined. Seeing his team lose in two close games against top teams may have provided some extra motivation.
“Vince loves playing the game, and he really cares about this team. That’s been the sting for him.” Chryst said.
