The newest version of the popular NBA video game NBA 2K17 is set to come out in late September for compatible consoles. Last week, the game released its ratings for players and teams, as well as other features to be included in the game.
Features
Some of the newest features in the game will include the newly-added 1992 Olympic Dream Team, as well as the 2016 Team USA squad. Also in the game is a new shooting feature that will factor in whether or not a player is contested, moving, or wide open. Made shots will now more accurately respond to the player’s status, obviously creating a higher chance of a made shot while the player is open.

Other news and notes:
- Paul George is the featured athlete on the cover. He is rated the 12th highest player in the game at an 89 overall, one less than his 2016 rating.
- This is the second earliest release date since the game starting coming out annually.
- Only Karl-Anthony Towns had a positive shift in rating that exceeded one point.
- September 9 will feature an early start on the game’s “MyCareer” mode.
- Kobe Bryant will be featured on the game’s Legendary Edition.
- Ten licensed colleges will be used in the single player mode. These colleges are: Illinois, Kansas, Georgetown, Arizona, Louisville, UCONN, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Michigan State
