Packers head coach Mike McCarthy stated Monday that wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be ready to go for Green Bay’s season opener in Jacksonville on Sunday.
“Jordy’s full go,” said McCarthy. “We expect him to line up and be full bore in Jacksonville.”
Nelson sat the entirety of the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in the preseason. Prior to that, he recorded two consecutive seasons of at least 1,300 yards and eight touchdowns.
As a precautionary measure, Nelson sat the entire preseason, but will be starting in the depth chart when Green Bay travels to Jacksonville next Sunday.
