According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin redshirt sophomore and projected starting inside linebacker T.J. Edwards is out indefinitely with a foot injury.

Last season, on his way to Big Ten All-Freshman honors, Edwards led the team with 84 tackles and also managed 6.5 tackles for loss.

With the Sept. 3 season opener against LSU and star running back Leonard Fournette fast approaching, first year defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox will look to a deep linebacking core to fill the potential void left by the injury.

Jack Cichy, who came to fame in the Holiday Bowl recording three straight sacks against the USC, will most likely slide inside from the outside. Cichy, who will be a redshirt junior, recorded 60 tackles last season while also recording 8.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks.
